Webcam Check Out Information
Information regarding checking out webcams:
Only University administration, faculty, staff, and students may check out webcams. No other patron groups will be allowed to check these devices out.
Anyone checking out webcams must have a valid University Picture ID. No other form of ID will be accepted.
Webcams will circulate for two weeks. These devices should be returned to the Library in person. In the event there is a waiting list, those on the list will receive priority. If there is no waiting list, the item may be checked out again.
Webcams may be checked out and mailed to University students and faculty who live outside Calhoun County. Those who receive a webcam via the mail will be responsible for the cost involved in mailing the device back. We recommend that you use a service that provides tracking information for your own protection.
Late fees are $10.00 per day. The maximum fine is $200.00. There is a grace period of 1 day. Any webcam that is 24 hours overdue will be declared lost and a charge of $200.00 plus applicable fines and fees will be billed to the user's account. If the webcam is returned in good condition, the $200.00 lost charge may be forgiven. Overdue/late fines and processing fee will not be forgiven.
Users are responsible for any and all damage to the webcam while it is checked out under their name. They may be charged a damage fee of up to $200.00, dependent on the cost of repair or replacement. Users will be charged the full replacement cost of the item ($200.00) if the webcam is lost or stolen while checked out.
