Program Review Timeline for Instructional Programs

The timeline below is to provide guidance for the programs. Ideally, the program review should be completed by June 30. If changes to the timeline are needed, the point person can discuss with their supervisor who can approve the adjustment. The Program Review committee does not make timeline adjustment decisions; however, emails are sent to all program review participants to serve a reminder on where the program review should be to meet the June 30th deadline.

  1. September/October: The program review committee will provide an orientation for programs to assist in guiding them through the self-study process.
  2. November 15: Programs submit up to 2-3 peer reviewers’ names to their dean for approval.
  3. December 15: The dean will select a peer reviewer and communicate with the reviewer to gauge interest.
  4. January 30: Self-studies are due to the dean.
  5. February 15: Dean submits self-study to peer evaluator, and self-study virtual visits are scheduled.
  6. March 14: Evaluator will have approximately 4 weeks to submit a report to the dean. The dean may request follow up or clarifications of peer evaluator.
  7. May 15: The dean, department head, program coordinator, and provost will meet to discuss report and document recommendations moving forward.
  8. June 15: The provost will respond to the review and submit their response to all parties using the Division Leader Program Review Response Form.
  9. June 30: Once provost response is received, programs will upload their self-study, peer review response, and provost response using the Program Review Submission Form.
*During the process, deadlines will be evaluated and adjusted, as necessary.
