Program Review

Peer Reviewer Final Report

Final reports submitted by the peer reviewer should have a similar format and structure, although areas may feel free to add additional questions or areas of focus for the peer evaluator to review.

Program review reports should address the specific areas within the self-study:

  • Program Overview
  • Curriculum
  • Assessment
  • Faculty
  • Resources
  • Students
  • Description and Functions
  • Staff
  • Assessment
  • Resources

Peer reviewers are expected to use the rubric to evaluate the self-study. In addition, a narrative that responds to the above sections and includes highlights within the rubric should be included. See Program Review Descriptions for Instructional Programs and Non-Instructional Programs for more details.

Closing the Loop and Continuous Improvement

Final reports are submitted to the department head/director who will review with faculty or staff. The report is also submitted to the Dean/Director. The Dean/Director reviews the report and provides a written response to the report. The Dean/Director forwards to their area Vice President. The Dean/Director, Department Head/Area Supervisor and other appropriate individuals will meet with their Vice President to discuss the self-study. The Vice President will prepare and provide a summary memo to the program to be used for program improvement the following year.

Action steps identified for the following year will be submitted to the Director of Institutional Research.
