This is the home page for Part I of the Library Guide (LibGuide) for EH501. Part I addresses career opportunities for holders of degrees in English and interpreting subject headings for the Library of Congress classification system for library materials. In addition, the guide discusses annotations, book reviews, and literature reviews -- ancillary components to the apparatus of research and scholarship -- and also provides information on literary criticism .
With education's current emphasis on coding and the STEM subjects in general, college majors in the social sciences and (especially) the humanities may feel marginalized with at best only bleak employment opportunities ahead of them. These books, which focus on the college experience and career opportunities for literature/humanities majors, offer a different perspective.
