Psychology: Tests and Measures

To find tests, instruments, scales, etc., on your research topic:

• In the first search box, type a keyword search for your topic.
• Choose an article in your results, and look at the full record. Scroll down to the Tests & Measures field to see what instruments were used.
• When you find the name of a test, search with the name and select Tests & Measures from the drop-down menu.

To search for articles that might have the instrument attached or in an appendix, type appended in the second search box. Select TM Tests & Measures from the drop-down menu to the right of the search box.

From your results list, click on the title of the article you want to see, then scroll down to Tests & Measures to see what instruments are appended to this item. If the tests are not available in PsycINFO, you can still search books or other resources for them.

You can search for tests, measures, and instruments in the CINAHL Complete database/

• Type your search terms in the search box
• Select IN instrumentation from the dropdown menu next to the box
• Select an item from your search results, and scroll down to Instrumentation to see which research instruments were used.
