Continuity of Library Services: Welcome

About This Guide

This guide is intended to help you contact the Library, conduct research, find assistance, and ask for help while the University is conducting classes online due to the COVID-19 public health issue.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

  • Curbside deliveries of print materials owned by the Library or an iPad will be made between 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM. Complete our online form at http://www.jsu.edu/library/forms/printmaterialsrequestform.html to request materials.
  • We are forgiving late/overdue fees for materials that were due March 1 or after.
    • This does not include fees for damaged or lost items.
    • Contact John Upchurch, Head of Public Services, at jupchurch@jsu.edu if you have any questions.

Using the Physical Library

The Library is CLOSED during this period of online-only instruction due to COVID-19. As this situation is fluid, this could change.

Check our Hours and Calendar and social media for any further announcements regarding openings and hours.

The Library will re-open and restore normal hours/operations once on-campus instruction resumes.

Using the Virtual/Online LIbrary

In order to access the Library's resources (databases, ebooks, ejournals, streaming videos, streaming audio, etc.), you will need to be authenticated. Access is granted through the same credentials you use for MyJSU.

It is important to note that users will still be verified through the Library's system, so if there is a problem with your record in the Library’s System, you will be prompted to contact us at 256.782.5758 or 1-800-231-5291. However, during this time, you will need to email us at libweb@jsu.edu instead of calling.
