Continuity of Library Services: Online Renewal

Renewing Your Library Materials

If you have an item (book, DVD, CD, etc.) that is due to be returned to the Library, you may find renewing the item easier than returning it. Go to Your Library Account and log into with your MyJSU username and password to renew your item(s).

  May I renew Library items?

Yes. Library items may be renewed a maximum number of three (3) times if other patrons have not requested them. Additional renewals can be made at the discretion of the Public Services staff.

How do I renew Library items?

Library items may be renewed by the Library's Circulation Desk in person or by calling (256) 782-5758. (Library's operating hours) Items may also be renewed by going to your Library Account. Please check to make sure the item’s due date has changed when renewing online.
