Interlibrary loan (ILL) services (https://libguides.jsu.edu/userservices/interlibraryloan) involve requesting and obtaining materials (articles, book chapters, and books) that the JSU Library does not have but that other libraries have. During a JSU campus closure, you can still submit requests for electronic materials (usually journal articles and e-book chapters), but any requests for print books ;may be delayed until thr University reopens its campuses. Also, some requests for materials held by other libraries may be delayed if those libraries are also closed.
Document delivery services involve scanning print materials (journals or book chapters) and making them available online. During a JSU campus closure, this service may not be available.
During the closure due to COVID-19, if you need Library materials that are only available in a physical format in the building, simply complete this form and we will get the items for you. Please note: it will be a one-day turn around, except on weekends. We will process your request and then contact you to schedule a meeting time for you to come to the Library to pick up the materials.
NOTE: This service will NOT be available during spring break.
