The Houston Cole Library hosted the The Great Speckled Bird Traveling Exhibit from March 1- April 15, 2012. This exhibit was created by i
ndividuals at Georgia State University to promote their online archive of The Great Speckled Bird. "The Bird" served as Atlanta's underground newspaper from 1965 until 1975.
