Unaffiliated patrons may check out items for two weeks (14 days).

Am I able to renew items?

Items may be renewed a maximum number of three (3) times if other patrons have not requested them.

Library materials may be renewed by the Library's Circulation Desk in person or by calling (256) 782-5758.

What are the Library’s fines for items that are returned late?

Fines are accrued at $0.25 per day for a period of twenty-one (21) days, after which the item is charged to the “Lost” status.

“Lost” status is the term for when the item is twenty-one (21) days overdue. A processing service fee of $10.00 and the replacement cost of the items will be added to your Library account.

Please see the “Fines and Fees” tab on this page for more information regarding Fines and Fees.

Can my Library privileges be suspended or revoked?

The non-affiliated patron's borrowing privileges will be blocked when your Library fines and fees reach $25.00.

Those who persistently violate borrowing privileges may be permanently blocked from these privileges.
