Houston Cole Library Printing Procedures

  • Printing is centralized in the Lobby at the Circulation Desk.
  • Printouts are $0.10 a page.
  • We do not offer double sided or color printouts.

How do I print?

  What do I need in order to print at the Library?

For JSU students, faculty, and staff, a current JSU ID card is needed. Users who do not have a current JSU ID card may buy a JSU print card for $5.00. A credit card, debit card, or prepaid card is needed to add money to your online print account. This is for non-students only.

  I don’t have a JSU ID card. Can I still print?

Yes. You may purchase a JSU print card at the Library’s Circulation Desk. This card is $5.00 and must be purchased with cash. No credit cards or checks are accepted for purchase of the JSU print card.

  Does the JSU print card come preloaded with any money?

No. The JSU print cards are blank. Money must be added through your online print account.

  I don’t have a credit or debit card. Can I still print?

Yes. You must purchase a prepaid card from a local retailer in order to add money to your online print account.

  How do I add money to my print account?

Go to ManageMyID to add money to your online print account. For more information, visit JSU Campus Printing.

  How much money do I have to add to my online print account?

The minimum amount is $5.00 and the maximum amount is $40.00. There is a $1.00 transaction fee.

Problems with the Print System

  My ID card won't scan or I get an error “Bad Issue Number.” What does that mean?

Your ID card is bad and needs to be replaced. New cards can be obtained in the card office located on the main floor of the Theron Montgomery Building (TMB). The office is open between the hours of 8:00am and 4:30pm. There is no charge for replacement of a card that will not scan correctly (you must turn in the defective card). Replacement cards are $15.00.

  My password won't work. Who do I contact to get it reset?

Go to ManageMyID and use the "Forgot My Password" link. If this doesn't work correctly, send an e-mail to jsucard_help@jsu.edu and explain your problem.
