See the Interlibrary Loan section on p.79 for more information.
Interlibrary Loan and Universal Borrowing are services provided to JSU students, faculty, and staff. These services request material from, or supply material to, another library.
Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is available to faculty members, administrative staff, staff, graduate students, and undergraduate students engaged in thesis or senior paper research. Privileges may be extended to retired employees at the discretion of the Supervisor of User Services or Head of Public Services.
Universal Borrowing (UB) is a cooperative service that allows JSU students and employees to borrow books directly from another UB partner library. JSU students and employess will be able to walk into a participating library and check out materials using a photo ID. Materials can be returned to any library in the UB system. In addition, JSU students and employess will be able to request books from these libraries and have them delivered quickly to any library in the UB system. Universal Borrowing (UB) may also be referred to as ALabama LIbraries Exchange Service (ALLIES).
